After he learned more about the background of oral surgery, he knew that this would be the right choice for him. After his residency, he wanted to join a practice where he could practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He joined the team of experts Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery and is very excited to deliver excellent oral surgery care to the community here. Dr. Di Prisco highly values making the patient feel comfortable with their procedure, which is why he explains the process from beginning to end to put them at ease. Education and residencyOriginally from Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Di Prisco received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Central University of Venezuela in 2005, graduating top of his class. Dr. Di Prisco completed a surgical internship and specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Miami & Jackson Memorial Hospital. His residency allowed him to study under Dr. Robert Marx, a world-renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Di Prisco served as Chief Resident and, upon completion of his residency, received the prestigious Faculty Award for Outstanding Patient Care. CertificationsDr. Di Prisco is board-certified and trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and extensive training in facial trauma surgery, tumor and reconstructive surgery, tissue engineering, growth factors, corrective jaw surgery, dental implantology, management of impacted wisdom teeth, and advanced ambulatory anesthesia techniques. A member of several local and national professional organizations, Dr. Di Prisco is licensed in the states of Florida, Virginia, and West Virginia in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
